The Parliamentary Candidate of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) for Cape Coast North constituency Mr. Horace Ekow Ewusi has promised to groom international-level football talents within his constituency by training more youngsters in sports.
He observed that sports, particularly football played a vital role in youth development and expressed optimism that his vision in sports would enhance the development of football talents in the constituency and the country as a whole.
The candidate made this known at Abura Roman Park in Cape Coast during Abiking Foundation football match competitions as part of Abura Ahobaa Festival football league.
Over 1,400 take-away packs were given to every spectator as part of his support to make the tournament so attractive.
He wished all the Participating teams all the best and promised to give special prizes to the winning team.
Mr. Ekow Ewusi was accompanied by his Chairman, Mr. Stephen Kojo Arhin who promised them the construction of an ultra-modern AstroTurf as part of his social responsibility to expand sports infrastructure in the constituency.
According to him, the provision of an ultra-modern pitch would ease pressure on the existing stadium.
“Vibrant sporting life has positive effects on society, it opens up opportunities for commercial success and serves the community as well” Mr. Ekow Ewusi added.
Mr. Ekow Ewusi announced to assist any youth including unemployed graduates irrespective of their party affiliation in skills development.
