Emmanuel Senyo Amekplenu, National Communications Team Member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has rubbished claims the Electoral Commission(EC) is engaging in acts aimed at rigging the 2024 polls for the party.
He states categorically that the NPP does not need the Electoral Commission to win the upcoming 2024 elections.
During an interview on Joy Prime Morning show, Emmanuel Senyo stated that the demonstration the opposition NDC is staging is needless because it won’t solve the issues or concerns they raised.
According to him, the NDC should have engaged the Electoral Commission and solve the situation instead of picketing at the EC and Regional Offices o across the country over the voters’ register.
He further emphasized that the NPP will use a special strategy to win this year’s election that will shock the NDC which has been relying on online polls claiming it is winning.
“You claim you have issues with the register, if you have issues with the register, meet EC, present your issues and allow the EC to resolve your issues for you. Why do you insist on picketing at the EC regional offices without resolving the issues? Will it solve the issues? Will it clear the credibility of the EC? As far as I’m aware, the NPP doesn’t need the Electoral Commission or its members to win this election. We are poised, we are absolute and focused. We are going to win this election with a strategy that will shock the NDC.” He reiterated.
