Five chiefs of Nadowli/Kaleo district in the Upper West Region have publicly expressed their confidence in Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia , who is capable of competently leading the country to higher levels of development.
In a speech read on their behalf, the chiefs of Nadowli, Takpo, Charipkong, Kaleo and Sankana enumerated many developments that have recently taken place in the district, including the upgrading of feeder roads, construction of bridges and graveling of roads. They stressed that these developments have significantly increased accessibility and boosted economic activities.
The chiefs expressed their gratitude for these developments and vowed to vote for the NPP presidential candidate with a “majority” to continue the good work of the current government.
Traditional authorities in Nadowli/Kaleo district on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, have pledged their support to the NPP flag-bearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia met with chiefs and opinion leaders in Nadowli/Kaleo Constituency as part of his nationwide campaign tour focused on the constituency.
“Mr. Vice President, we assure you of the support of the chiefs and good people of Nadowli-Kaleo Constituency and ask you to elect you with a majority majority as President of the Republic of Ghana. We have faith in your leadership and vision for our country,” they said.
“Thank you for listening to our concerns. We wish you success in your campaign and look forward to assuming your presidency.” Bawumia thanked the chiefs for their support and reiterated his commitment to expedite the review of Article 63 of the Constitution, which gives judicial powers to traditional authorities. He stressed that many disputes could be resolved in the palace rather than in court, thereby expediting the administration of justice.
Bawumia would also pay a living wage to the paramount chiefs and district heads and their queens, the NPP flagbearer also promised.
