Since former president John Mahama announced that when he wins the 2024 presidential election, he shall introduced a 3 shift system which Ghanaians will be able to work 24 hours everyday.
This campaign statement from the NDC party has brought a lot of joy to some Ghanaians while others disagree and want further explanation from John Mahama and the NDC party.
The 24 hour economic system have been practiced by some famous countries across the world which includes the United Kingdom, Australia, United States of America and many more.
Since Mahama introduced this policy, some people have reacted to the campaign message and asked further questions and want John Mahama to explain it into detail but the vice president of Ghana and flag berar of the NPP, Dr Bawumia reacted by saying that Ghana is already practicing 24-hour economy.
Dr Bawumia said there’s no need for Mahama to introduce the policy and listed some companies working 24 hours including some hospitals, some electronics companies.
Dr Bawumia in his speech accepts the 24 hour economic policy but reject the notion that NDC wanted to introduce it again in the country.
During NPP’s latest campaign tour, the running mate to Dr Bawumia, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempreh popularly know as NAPO told Ghanaians that there’s no any country practicing 24-hour economy even God who created this world used to sleep at night and rest.
The video that emerged has brought some confusion.
While NAPO was rejecting the 24 hour economy policy and revealing how it has not been practiced anywhere in the world, his leader Bawumia has embrace it and gives reasons why it’s already working in the country.
Who should Ghanaians trust on this? Bawumia or NAPO?
Isn’t some countries practicing the 24-hour economic policy already? Is NAPO trying to convince Ghanaians for vote?
