Former Damongo/Daboya MP dead

Honourable Edward Aliedong Alhassan, the first Member of Parliament(MP) for the Damongo constituency, has died at age 84.

The former Damongo MP is said to have died at the Tamale Teaching Hospital, where he was receiving treatment.

The late Honorable Edward Aliedong Alhassan was born on April 16, 1940, in Shemsi, a village under Daboya in the North Gonja District of the Savannah Region.

He was the National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP for Damongo/Daboya from 1992 to 1996.
