Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi attempted to campaign at the office of the ruling party’s ‘archnemesis’, the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
His plan to convince opposition party supporters at Akomadan in the Offinso North Constituency failed to materialise.
Upon his utter surprise upon entering the office, per a video gone viral on social media, there was not a single personnel present.
Some users who have reacted to this video have questioned Chairman Wontumi’s motive. Some users noted that the NPP executive might have had the intention of causing conflict with his surprise visit.
“This is childish, you already know who they support going there with your message and they’ll be forced to sack you from the office then conflict sets in .. I’m pretty they got a hint that this is gonna happen that’s why the left the office,” a user wrote.
