U15 Girls Inter-Regional Challenge Cup: First edition of competition set for June in Prampram

The Ghana Football Association is set to host the inaugural U15 Girls Inter-Regional Challenge Cup at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram.

This initiative comes in line with the Association’s recent announcement of establishing four new age group national teams for both boys and girls.

Kurt. E.S. Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association and Chairman of the National Juvenile Committee, revealed that the tournament, scheduled for June 2024, aims to identify promising talents for further nurturing within the national team setup.

It will serve as a platform for coaches to scout potential players for the newly formed age group national teams in June this season.

This competition, part of the broader Women Football Strategy, signifies the Association’s commitment to fortifying women’s football at grassroots levels.

The newly established age group teams, spanning from U-16 to U-23 for girls, aim to foster talent development and competitiveness across all levels, promising a bright future for Ghanaian women’s football.
