Information coming reveals how the Assemblyman for Kyekyerwere East, Hon. Kwabena Boateng ended the lives of two people after a dispute.
Kwabena Boateng shot the 16-year-old and a 20-year-old young man to death at his cocoa-buying shop in Dunkwa Kyekyerwere, Central Region.
According to Kwabena Boateng, he had been on high alert for some time after 35 bags of cocoa were missing from his shop. He claimed to have seen three suspects trying to break in his shop around
2 a.m. while he was guarding the place.
He narrated that the culprits attempted to escape after noticing him and that was when he pulled out his weapon and f!red some shots in their direction. The bullet hit two of the suspects while the instantly killing them while the third victim escaped.
Unfortunately, one of the victims died at the scene, and the other died on the way to the hospital.
The assemblyman has since been arrested and is currently in police custody assisting with the investigation.
