Ghana’s Ropapa Mensah scored in Chattanooga Red Wolves SC’s 3-2 win against Richmond Kickers

Ropapa Mensah started the game at the CHI Memorial Stadium and lasted 69 minutes.

The Red Wolves attempted to build an attacking press early on as Marios Lomis’ influence was felt. The Chattanooga defense and goalkeeper Carlos Avilez were put to the test early by Richmond’s strong offensive play, which included many corner kicks and free kicks in the opening 20 minutes.

First-half possession was quite evenly distributed, with Richmond slightly ahead of Chattanooga (50.9% to 49.1%) and Chattanooga trailing slightly (5-2) in shots.

Just before halftime, the Kickers finally scored thanks to a goal from Matt Bentley and an assist from Emiliano Terzaghi, giving them a 1-0 lead going into the second half.

After the break Ryan Sierakowski scored to make it 2-0. 10 minutes later Ropapa Mensah pulled one back for Red Wolves.

Red Wolves scored their equalizer in the 72nd minute through Richard Renteria. Chevone Marsh scored the winning goal for Red Wolves in the 78th minute.

In their next league encounter, the Red Wolves will play Union Omaha.
