Right to Dream appoints Emmanuel Alex Aseidu as new CEO for Ghana Academy

Right to Dream has announced the appointment of Emmanuel Alex Aseidu as the new CEO of their Ghana Academy, effective August 1st.

Aseidu brings a wealth of experience and passion to the role, shaped by his background in football, education, and finance.

Born into a football-loving family, Aseidu’s father coached Accra Great Olympics. He played amateur football in Denmark and remains an avid supporter of both Accra Hearts of Oak and Liverpool FC. His commitment to education is evident in his teaching roles at Ashesi University and his position as a Trustee of Gaede Foundation and board member of Legacy Girls College.

With over 25 years of experience in the financial markets, Aseidu has built and led successful teams across Ghana and Africa. He most recently served as the Head of Africa Investments for Standard Bank (excluding South Africa) and is recognized as a thought leader in Ghana’s financial markets.

Aseidu is multilingual, speaking five languages including basic Danish, and enjoys gardening and traveling. He is married with four children. He will succeed Eddie Mensah after a month-long transition period to ensure a smooth handover. Right to Dream expressed their delight in welcoming Aseidu, highlighting his passion for Africa’s youth and his impressive leadership track record.
