Parliament has adopted the report of the Finance Committee on the financing agreement between the government of Ghana and the International Development Association for the energy sector recovery programme.
The 250 million dollar loan was adopted after debate on the floor of parliament on September 3.
On September 2, Parliament could not agree to rescind a decision it took on July 30 in respect of a disapproval of the finance committee report on the 250 million dollars financing agreement between Ghana government and the International Development Association for the energy sector recovery programme.
The Minority side complained they had not been engaged on the new development concerning the loan agreement, compelling the Speaker, Alban Bagbin to refer the matter to the finance committee for consideration and report.
It’s one of the reasons Members of Parliament were recalled from recess but an agreement could not be reached when the item was discussed.
