Nana Addo has failed the NPP! Party does not only belong to Akyems! – Founding member ‘cries out”

A founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) New Jersey Chapter in the USA, Nana Atta Boamah, has voiced his disappointment in President Nana Akufo-Addo’s leadership.

Nana Atta Boamah, who has resided in the United States for nearly 45 years, shared his concerns during the 30th anniversary celebration of the NPP New Jersey Chapter.

Despite his long stay abroad, Boamah frequently visits Ghana and remains well-informed about the current state of affairs in the country.

In a video shared by X user @obiMpenaAustine, Boamah expressed his dissatisfaction with the current leadership of the party.

“The party right now, we need good leadership. Nana Addo has failed the NPP. Why? So many things. He came in and swore to us that he would use discipline and accountability. He failed! Look right now, what is going on in Ghana,” he said.

Boamah criticized the perceived dominance of the Akyem people within the party, questioning the number of Akyem individuals registered to vote in Ghana.

He also issued a stern warning to the Vice President and party officials, including Yaw Osafo-Maafo, urging them to reassess their positions.

“The party doesn’t belong to the Akyem people. How many Akyem people in Ghana have registered to vote? This is a warning to the Vice President and the party officials, Osafo-Maafo, and the rest of them; they all need to sit back,” Boamah stated.

Nana Atta Boamah’s remarks reflect a broader discontent within some sections of the NPP and highlight ongoing concerns about the party’s direction under President Akufo-Addo’s leadership.
