Former Dutch international Marciano Vink has said it is possible to train Brian Brobbey on his finishing issues whic he claims stretches all the way back to his time at the AJax youth team.
The former Ajax man also added that it will be difficult to train him on scoring because of the history of scoring problems.
Brobbey scored 13 goals in 33 league games last season.
“Ajax generally creates a lot of chances, so he will score his goals. It’s trainable, but I’m afraid it might be difficult, as he’s had this issue for a while,” Vink said on the “De Eretribune” show.
“He does score, but out of six chances, he converts two,” says the former midfielder, who draws a comparison to Romelu Lukaku. “He sometimes has that bit of bad luck too, it’s a part of their strength.”
He is saying this after the young striker missed a number of chances in Sunday’s Eredivisie opener against Heracles which they won 4-1.
