GFA supports Ampem Darkoa Ladies with $20,000 for CAF Women’s Champions League
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced a monetary package for Ampem Darkoa Ladies for their CAF Women’s Champions League.
In a communique from the Ghana FA, it said it will support the Women’s Premier League Champions with an amount of $20,000.
“The Ghana Football Association wishes to announce a $20,000 support to Women’s Premier League side Ampem Darkoa Ladies for their Women’s Champions League campaign.
“Ampem Darkoa Ladies are currently in Nigeria for the third edition of the WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifiers, which kicks off on Sunday, August 20, 2023,” parts of the Ghana FA Communique said.
According to the GFA, the support from the Association aids in air tickets for their trip to Benin City, Nigeria.
Aside from the financial support, the GFA has offered Ampem Darkoa Ladies free accommodation and feeding at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence at Prampram where the team camped for 15 days in readiness for the tournament in Nigeria.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies will play their first game in the WAFU B competition against Togolese champions Amis du Monde on Sunday, August 20.
