E/R: 25-year-old man sentenced to 16 years in prison for stealing church equipment

A man, Ernest Tetteh (25), from Manya Kpongunnor, was sentenced to 16 years imprisonment for stealing musical instruments from two churches in Lower Manya Krobo Local Government Area.

The Odumase Krobo District Court handed down the sentence on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

Tetteh was arrested on Sunday, July 14, 2024, following an investigation prompted by a complaint from the Life of Christ Ministry and Christian Vision International Church.

He was arrested at his shop in Abanse after attempting to sell four GSL speakers stolen from the Nwaso Ojadrunya Temple of the Life of Christ Ministry.

Two suspected accomplices of Tetteh are currently in custody at Koretso Police Station pending further investigation and prosecution.

The inmate was transferred to Akutose Prison to begin his sentence after successfully receiving the COVID-19 vaccination on Wednesday afternoon.
