Battle over Atta Mills’ legacy descends into chaos with social media accusations against Koku Anyidoho and his brother

Samuel Atta Mills, a brother of the late president, threatened to take action against Koku Anyidoho and accused him of leveraging the power of the state to orchestrate condemnable actions against the Mills family and the NDC.

In response to the claims, Koku Anyidoho made a series of social media publications against the family of the late Ghanaian president, Professor John Evans Atta Mills, particularly his brothers, Dr. Cadman Mills and Samuel Atta Mills.

Koku Anyidoho, in the tweets, dared the Mills brothers to expose him, as they have threatened and made some claims against them relative to the demise of their brother.

Koku Anyidoho’s tweets included: Can Cadman deny that I got him to register with the Atta Mills Foundation? What happened to the $100,000 that came to Cadman through me from an oil company?

“I have kept silent about the extreme stupidity of Cadman and Samuel Atta Mills because I have long respected my agreement with the late President Atta Mills, but if they challenge me, they will regret their gross stupidity!” A screaming response from Dr. Cadman Atta Mills, the brother and head of the family of the late President.

Dr. Cadman Mills tried to expose the National Security Road Act. He alleged that the presidential aide was trying to set the late president’s son against the Mills family.

“Koku tried to manipulate Professor Mills’ son (then 23 years old) into co-founding the ‘Atta Mills Foundation’ with Professor Mills. When contacted, I told him that Mrs. Ernestina Nadu Mills and I had already registered the John Evans Atta Mills Memorial Foundation and invited him (Koku) to collaborate with us. At first, Koku was delighted. Through Koku, I got one of Koku’s young assistants to design the logo for the foundation.

“Then, for reasons known only to Koku, he disappeared, and the last I heard was that he had set up his own Atta Mills Institute. This did not surprise me, as his oversized ego would not allow him to work for Mrs. Mills and me, and Koku was never a team player, as evidenced by the many problems he caused to President Mills (refusing to follow orders from the Venerable) and his intense ‘rivalry’ with Mr. Totobi Kwakye, who was in charge of communications, and Mahama Ayariga, President Mills’ more learned and experienced communications adviser),” his post read in part.
