Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Unai Simón shares insights on the humorous Williams brothers

In a recent interview with Movistar, Athletic Bilbao’s goalkeeper Unai Simón shared some light-hearted insights into the personalities of the Williams brothers, Inaki and Nico, who have been pivotal to the team’s success this season.

Inaki Williams, representing Ghana, and his brother Nico, wearing the Spanish jersey, have not only showcased their skills on the field but also their camaraderie and humor off it.

Simón described the Williams brothers as “very funny” and “always like that,” even during training sessions. “Sometimes it also happens in training, although not as much as the other day,” he added, hinting at a particularly amusing incident.

The goalkeeper, who hails from Murgia, further explained that their brotherly bond is the source of their humor. “In the end, they are brothers. What are they going to do? And it’s not the same relationship that you can have with them. They have been together for more than 20 years,” he said, emphasizing their long-standing bond.

Simón also mentioned that the brothers continued their banter for a while longer, a behavior he deemed “very normal” between siblings.

Inaki Williams has made 26 appearances, scored nine goals, and assisted three in La Liga this season. His brother Nico has played 24 games, scored three goals, and assisted eight.
