2024 Elections: NDC Aims for 35% of Votes in Ashanti Region – Former Deputy Minister

Former Ashanti Regional Deputy Minister Samuel Yaw Adusei has revealed that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is aiming to win the December 7 general election with 35% of the votes. He called on party members to rally behind the party’s leader, John Dramani Mahama, and its parliamentary candidate. Adusei said the NDC is the only hope for Ghanaians to save the country from poor economic management by the NPP.

“The NDC is the only hope for Ghanaians to save the country from poor economic management. I call on NDC supporters in Ashanti to redouble their efforts in the ruling government’s home base. “I invite all relaxed and experienced party members to join us because Ashanti Region is a battleground for the 2024 general elections,” Adusei said.

He warned against complacency, noting that the NPP is targeting 85% in Ashanti Region while the NDC is targeting 35%.

“Complacency is not an option. The NPP is targeting 85% in Ashanti Region while we are aiming for 35%. Unity is essential to achieving our target and ensuring national victory.”
Bantama parliamentary candidate Kwadow Addai Dapaah has vowed to work hard to secure a seat for his party.

“I promise to do my best to secure the seat for the Bantama party. I thank Yaw Adusei for your support…We will work hard with these motorcycles to strengthen the NDC in Bantama constituency. We will leave no room for complacency in our campaign,” Adusei said while handing over two motorcycles and an undisclosed amount to the Bantama constituency chapter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to intensify their campaign.
