In a stunning revelation, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Wontumi, has exposed a secret plot by the National Democratic Congress to sabotage the NPP’s chances in the Ashanti Region.
According to Wontumi, the NDC has been secretly sponsoring independent candidates in the region, with the sole aim of splitting the NPP’s votes and gaining an advantage in the 2024 polls.
Speaking during a campaign rally at Asante Akyem North Constituency on Wednesday August 21,2024, Wontumi called out the NDC for their “desperate and cunning” tactics, urging all independent candidates to reject the NDC’s offers and join the NPP instead.
Wontumi’s revelation has sent shockwaves through the political landscape, with many condemning the NDC’s alleged actions as “unethical” and “anti-democratic”.
